1. Author Responsibilities
· Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts comply with scientific and ethical standards.
· Authors must confirm that the submitted manuscript has not been published elsewhere and does not contain any form of plagiarism.
· Authors bear full responsibility for copyright issues related to the manuscript. They must obtain all necessary permissions for copyrighted materials used in the article.
· All sources consulted in the preparation of the manuscript—including books, theses, articles, and research notes—must be properly cited and detailed.
· Authors are required to sign and upload the copyright agreement form to the submission system when submitting their manuscript.
· All individuals listed as authors must have made a substantial contribution to the manuscript. Individuals who have not actively contributed may not be included as authors.
2. Editor Responsibilities
· The editor of DÎVÂN: Interdisciplinary Studies Journal reviews submitted manuscripts according to the journal’s policies and guidelines. The editor determines whether the manuscript meets the journal’s standards in terms of both content and format. If the manuscript is deemed compliant, it is forwarded to the editorial board for preliminary review.
· The editor oversees all processes from the moment a manuscript is received until its publication via Dergipark.
· The editor is responsible for ensuring that manuscripts undergo impartial evaluation through a double-blind peer review system and that the confidentiality of the manuscript is maintained until publication.
· Based on referee reports, the editor makes the final decision regarding the manuscript and communicates it to the author.
· Considering the referees’ recommendations, the editor decides whether to reject, request minor revisions, request major revisions, or accept the manuscript. If revisions are requested, the manuscript is returned to the author via Dergipark. Authors are granted 15 days to implement the required changes. Once the revised manuscript is uploaded, the editor verifies that all reviewer comments have been addressed. If reviewers have requested to see the manuscript after revision, it is returned to them via Dergipark; otherwise, the editor may decide whether to send it back to the reviewer.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
· Before sending manuscripts to reviewers, the editor ensures that all information identifying the author is removed. This includes the author’s name, affiliation, ORCID number, email address, and other personal details. The anonymized manuscript is then uploaded to Dergipark.
· Each manuscript submitted to DÎVÂN: Interdisciplinary Studies Journal is evaluated by at least two reviewers. Reviewers are given 15 days to complete their evaluations.
· Reviewers must assess manuscripts impartially and according to established academic criteria. Care is taken to ensure that reviewers are not affiliated with the same institution as the author and are not personally acquainted. Reviewers are required to provide clear and detailed feedback in their review report and, when necessary, make annotations directly on the manuscript file, which is then uploaded to the system.
· Reviewers are external and independent from the journal and are solely responsible for evaluating manuscripts according to scholarly standards.
· Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscript and may not use any part of it in any context.
· Reviewer identities remain confidential and are not disclosed, even after the manuscript is published.
